Anger Management 101

“Because hiding your weaknesses takes a whole lot of emotional and mental energy that leaves you drained and exhausted. ” pg 129

I never thought about how much anger I had in my life until I picked up my latest read, From Anger to Intimacy by Gary Smalley & Ted Cunningham. But after reading a few pages of this book and asking myself some of the hard questions I quickly came to realize that I have loads of dirty laundry stuffed away. It is time to put a load in the wash.

I have spent, wait no scratch that. I have wasted a lot of time trying to stuff anger and weaknesses in my closets. I have been drained and exhausted for years.

“Only one thing can move us toward maturity and health: We must forgive or seek forgiveness. Otherwise, we will slide into the dark, acid pit of unresolved anger.” pg 54
