Guerrilla Lovers

I consider it a privilege to call Vince Antonucci a friend. A little over a year ago he moved from Virginia Beach to Vegas to start a new church in Sin City. It has been an exciting and roller-coaster journey for Vince and his team, but soon the church will be launching! If you have time you should check out what they have going on at Verve.

A few years ago Vince wrote his first book, I became a Christian and all I got was this lousy t-shirt. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I am excited for today because Vince’s sophomore book releases, Guerrilla Lovers: Changing the World with Revolutionary Compassion. I haven’t had the chance to read the book yet, but one of our barista has, and she said it is excellent.

I am excited to see how God uses this book. With the help of guys like Ben Arment and Mike Foster, Vince has launched a website where you can find free resources as well as hear the stories of others. I am also anticipating what the future holds because every week starting April 5th there will be an assignment given on the website for each of us to try and accomplish. The goal is to create partners who live out compassion in a regular everyday way.

Vince has a huge heart and it has been evident every time we have met. I walk away from talking with him saying, “That guy cares about people.” Pick up a copy of Vince’s newest book, stop buy the new website or follow his new church on Twitter and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
